We know you’re just keen to give us your digits… but we can’t let you!
If you include any contact information in your RouteNote release metadata, it is likely to be rejected as this is against store policies. This includes:
- Website addresses
- Hashtags
- Social media usernames (names beginning with the @ symbol)
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
If any of these things appear in your artist name, track title, label name or anywhere else, our moderation team won’t be able to approve your release as it will be rejected by our partner stores.
Stores won’t accept this stuff because it takes users away to content that the store hasn’t checked. If a release with contact information leads a listener to something unpleasant or illegal, stores could be held accountable, as they were effectively hosting that “link”.
