Uploading covers or uploading an album containing multiple covers originally performed by the same artist (e.g. an album of covers of songs by Mötley Crüe, or James Brown) is absolutely fine.

Releases uploaded through RouteNote can’t be labelled as being a tribute to the original artist (e.g. “A Tribute To Mötley Crüe”, or “A Tribute To James Brown”).

You’ll need to format your tribute release or track as a cover. For information on how to format a cover song or release, head here.
