No label, no problem!

Many of our users here at Routenote distribute their music without being signed to a record label, this is not a problem! Many well-known artists like Billie Eilish, Chance the Rapper and Alan Walker all came to be known without the help of a major label.

If you’re not associated with a label, you can simply enter your artist name in the label line when creating your release.

Here’s what not to put in your label field:

• Major labels if you’re not signed to them, such as ‘Universal’ or ‘Warner Chappell’
• ‘Unsigned’, ‘no label’, ‘none’ , ‘independent’ etc.
• Contact information
